What makes glass a sustainable option?

Glass is endlessly recyclable. No matter how many times glass gets broken down and then reformed into more glass, it doesn’t degrade. Plus, the low melting point of recovered glass products means that the process of recycling glass consumes a heck of a lot less energy than a) producing new glass or b) attempting to recycle plastic. Plastic, by the way, 100% does degrade and can only be recycled once or twice at best.

How soon do I need to eat leftovers?

The general rule of thumb is that leftovers will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator before they need to be thrown out. The “smell test” is not always accurate, as some bacteria in contaminated food might not alter its smell (or its look or taste). And don’t forget to store and refrigerate those leftovers quickly—it only takes a couple of hours at ‘room temperature’ for bacteria to start to get cozy in your takeout.
