To prevent a rash from developing after coming into contact with poison ivy, oak, or sumac:
1) Wet skin with cool water.
2) Gently exfoliate the affected areas with the coarse side (top) of the soap bar.
3) Using the smooth side (bottom) of the soap bar, create a thick lather and rub it into the skin.
4) Leave lather on skin for at least five minutes and then rinse thoroughly, but gently.
To soothe an irritation or rash that has already developed: Work up a lather a second time and allow soap to dry on your skin, for lasting relief. Use 3 times daily or as needed until the rash subsides.
Store at room temperature.
