Each plug-in refill lasts for about 45 days. When it’s time to replace your Enviroscent plug-in refill, purchase an Enviroscent® Plug-In Air Freshener Refill. All Enviroscent plug-in refills are made from paper and can be easily recycled after use.

Are Enviroscent Plug-In Refills recyclable?
The Enviroscent plug-in refills and packaging are both recyclable. The plug hub warmer is reusable, but not recyclable. Recycling laws vary by state – products listed as recyclable may not be recyclable in your area.

Slide the Enviroscent Plug-In refill into the Plug-In warmer, with the leaf mark facing forward. Press the refill down into the warmer until you hear a ""click,"" and then plug the warmer into a vertical outlet to begin scenting. After 45+ days, unplug the warmer, remove the refill (separate paper refill), and recycle. Repeat with a fresh Enviroscent Plug-In refill for month after month of amazing scents.

What is that stuff on my Plug-In Refill?
Don’t worry, it's normal for Enviroscent Plug-In Refills to have some discoloration. All Enviroscent Plug-In refills have been thoroughly tested and mold is not able to grow on them. This is because there is no meaningful water content (the fragrance is oil-based) and while it is possible for a little moisture to get absorbed, it is minimal and never enough to create mold.

What you are likely seeing is the pulp fibers that have dried. As the fragrance inside diffuses into the air, the fiber on the surface can become fluffier in appearance.
