Unlike some baking sheets that are coated with Quilon, which contains heavy metals like chromium that can be toxic when burned, If You Care parchment baking paper contains silicone derived from the natural element, silicon. And, while the process to produce these baking sheets with silicone is a tad more expensive, it's worth every penny — not to mention the ease in which those pizza slices slide right off the sheet with no trace of cheese left behind.

What makes If You Care Parchment Paper Sheets non-stick?
If You Care parchment paper is coated with a fine misting of food-safe, non-toxic silicone. Silicone is derived from the natural element silicon, which is completely healthy and will not leach into foods. Another fun fact — parchment paper coated with silicone can be composted, too.
Does this parchment paper contain chlorine?
No, these If You Care baking sheets do not. If You Care doesn’t use any chlorine in the production of any of their products, which means no chlorine will be dumped into our lakes and streams. (Yay!)
