Esembly Outers are adorable waterproof diaper covers that layers over a soft and thirsty Esembly Inner (sold separately) to make a trim-fitting, blowout-proof cloth diaper. Outers can also be used on their own as Swim Diapers, or even as covers over disposables to prevent blow-outs.

If you’re looking for a better alternative to disposable diapers that’s easy to use, will save you money and reduce waste, look no further than Esembly! Their complete line of cloth diaper products and accessories provide families with the essentials needed to diaper sustainably - from organic, “blowout-proof” diapers and skincare, to upcycled storage bags and specially-formulated diaper cleaning detergent.

Esembly reusable cloth diapers are made up of two parts: an absorbent Inner (sold separately) and a waterproof Outer. Waterproof yet breathable, Esembly Outer diaper covers are soft, stretchy and trim-fitting. Even better, they’re made of OEKO-TEX certified recycled fabric from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles!

Even better, Esembly cloth diapers radically reduce diaper waste. And it doesnt have to be all-or-nothing. Even swapping out just 3 disposables for Esembly diapers per day will keep over 1,000 diapers out of the landfill each year. Every little bit counts!

The Outer is the part of the diaper that provides the containment. If anything sneaks past the Inner, you can rest assured it won’t go beyond the Outer making the Esembly cloth diaper blowout proof! The unique structure of the fabric allows for optimal heat and vapor transmission, keeping your baby comfortable longer.

Outers come in two sizes and are designed to grow with your baby:

  • Size 1 fits babies from approx 7-17 lbs
  • Size 2 from approx 18-35 lbs

Two rows of snaps at the waist allow you to adjust the size of the waist independently from the openings at the legs. This enables you to get a perfect fit on babies with big round bellies and skinny legs, and vice versa.

As an added bonus, Outers can be used on their own (with no Inner underneath) as a swim diaper, or over disposables to contain frequent leaks and blowouts.

If cloth diapering full-time, you’ll want to have 24 Inners and 6 Outers. Inners require laundering after each use, whereas Outers can be used multiple times before washing.

Once your baby starts sleeping in longer sleep stretches, you'll want to add an Esembly Overnighters nighttime cloth diaper booster or two to the diaper to increase absorbency. Additionally, Esembly Tossers can be incorporated to help remove the solid poo prior to laundering once your baby begins eating solid foods. (poop removal is NOT necessary when your baby is on a milk-only diet).

100% Upcycled Polyester TPU (derived from recycled plastic bottles). Our unique fabric is GRS and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. Free of lead, BPA, PVC, and phthalates, our fabric is independently tested to meet both US and EU Standards for Food Safety (not that you eat out of your diaper covers, but you could if you wanted to!).

Put a fresh Inner (sold separately) on your baby at each change. Cover the Inner with a waterproof Outer diaper cover to complete the diaper.

We recommend changing an awake baby every 2-3 hours, or immediately if poop is detected. When soiled, set cloth diaper aside in Ditty Bag or Pail Pouch until you launder with Esembly Washing Powder every 2-3 days.

Follow Esembly step-by-step laundering instructions for easy and effective cleaning. Be sure to never soak your diapers in anything (not even plain water) as it can lead to premature degradation of the fabric resulting in fraying and holes.,/p>
