Inspired by the Iroquois principle of considering the next seven generations, Seventh Generation was founded by Jeffrey Hollender to reimagine household essentials for families who care deeply about their impact. From the start, the brand has chosen thoughtful ingredients and responsible sourcing, making products without harsh chemicals that honor the health of our planet for generations to come.

Rigorously tested with safety in mind
Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Soap is a USDA-certified biobased product as well as an EPA Safer Choice certified product. It’s 95% made with renewable ingredients, designed to be gentle on your sensitive skin as well as the environment.
Can I use liquid dish soap in my dishwasher?
Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Soap is meant only for your sink. In fact, putting this liquid dish soap into your dishwasher can cause damage to the machine, not to mention creating an overflow of suds on your kitchen floor. Instead, squeeze a few squirts onto a sponge to get the job done.
