Safety advantages of Borosilicate glass:
- Thermal Resistance: Borosilicate glass can withstand high temperatures, making it safe for sterilization and microwave use without the risk of cracking.
- Chemical Safety: It is non-reactive and does not leach harmful chemicals, ensuring that the contents remain pure and safe for babies.
- Durability: While still fragile compared to plastic, borosilicate glass is stronger than regular glass, reducing the likelihood of breakage during normal use.
- Easy to Clean: Its smooth surface is easy to clean and can be safely washed in the dishwasher, making it convenient for parents.
- Eco-Friendly: Being recyclable and long-lasting, borosilicate glass is a more environmentally friendly option compared to single-use plastics.
- No Odors or Stains: Unlike some plastics, borosilicate glass won’t retain odors or stains from milk or formula.
- Aesthetics: Many parents appreciate the classic look and feel of glass bottles, which can be more visually appealing than plastic.
The nipple is equipped with an anti-colic valve, that lets out air which reduces air swallowed while feeding. The nipple is produced from natural rubber latex. Since natural rubber latex is a natural material, color variation may occur. Natural Rubber latex is a natural material made from a sticky milky fluid tapped from the Hevea tree. The fluid is refined to the brown/yellow rubber you know from your pacifiers; a super soft, elastic, and resilient material very much resembling the mother’s soft nipple. The natural material comes with a natural aging process affected by natural influences like UV light, air, saliva, and heat. The elasticity of the material allows the nipple to change shape and size because of the baby’s strong vacuum, this means that the nipple in some cases can expand if it is not replaced in time.
