The Mutatá REDD+ Project takes root in Mutatá, Antioquia, Colombia-within the lush Serranía de Abibe, where crystal rivers weave through sacred forests, medicinal plants flourish, and jaguars, monkeys, and rare birds roam. The project stands as a beacon of Indigenous leadership and a testament to harmony between people and this project is entirely led by the Embera Katio peoples, whose ancestral connection to the land shapes every decision. These are not just stewards-they are the original architects of a territory where spirituality, ecology, and livelihood are deeply entwined. Here, forest conservation is inseparable from cultural survival. The "secret sauce" lies in this union: ancestral governance, intergenerational knowledge, and a sacred duty to protect. Supported by a network of community leaders, spiritual guides (jaibanás), and strong women's collectives, the project blends traditional ecological practices with modern tools-like silvopasture, fish farming, and sustainable cacao. Where many projects seek impact, Mutatá is impact-living, breathing, and growing from within. It's not a story told for communities, but one told by them-with every tree, every river, and every heartbeat echoing their purpose.

Your contributions to these programs should be considered in-kind services supporting the missions outlined below by our curated assortment of non-profit and for-profit impact partners, as well as Grove’s maintenance and curation of the Impact Shop. These purchases are not tax deductible, nor are they a donation. In the event that your selected project becomes unavailable your contribution will be earmarked towards a substantially similar alternative with equivalent environmental impact offered by the same project partner that you selected.

Grove is committed to curating this shop with unique and specific offerings that are not always publicly available, as well as vetting partner organizations. A portion of each purchase is dedicated to the maintenance of this program, and our commitment to offer high-impact, high-quality impact projects to the Grove community.
