Floofah is a 100% plant-based sponge designed to give you a better clean, naturally and without leaving anything behind: no microplastics and no landfill waste.

Frustrated with seemingly unavoidable plastic household products, we looked back to the past for a sustainable solution and found the answer in the humble luffa gourd.

Luffa gourds are native to South Asia and have been used as a cleaning tool around the world for thousands of years, known for their superior scrubbing power. When tender on the vine, this gourd is edible (similar to cucumbers) and has a particularly silky texture, a common vegetable in many Asian cultures.

Made from carefully sourced luffa gourds, each Floofah is minimally processed, then cut and stitched without glue, plastics, or synthetic materials. Unlike conventional plastic loofahs that shed microplastics onto your skin and down the drain, Floofah exfoliates naturally—so what touches your body and washes away is completely clean.

  • Just add water and watch it expand into a soft, airy sponge. Pair it with your favorite soap or body wash for a rich lather and a satisfying scrub that leaves skin smooth and refreshed.
  • Floofah softens with use and should be replaced every 8–10 weeks. Let it fully dry between uses to keep it fresh (for some households, this means hanging it outside of the shower door!).

About Floofah: Born from a search for a truly plastic-free alternative to everyday home products, Floofah brings you back to what nature does best– Simple, effective, and waste-free. Each purchase is matched with a donation to a shower-focused nonprofit to promote hygiene and skin health.

Luffa fibers, cotton

Before first use, remove paper packaging and allow Floofah to run under warm water for 1 minute to rehydrate. Apply soap or body wash and gently squish to create lather. Rinse thoroughly and let fully dry between uses.
