What is cupuacu butter?

Cupuacu is a tree that grows in the tropical rainforests of the Amazon basin. The fruit from the tree contains seeds surrounded by a creamy pulp. The seeds have a high fat content with characteristics very similar to that of cocoa butter. In addition to fatty acids, cupuacu is rich in several B vitamins and antioxidants, including vitamins A and C.
