What are parabens?
Parabens are a group of chemicals found in some cosmetics and skincare products that are used to prolong those products’ shelf lives. Unfortunately, they can also increase the risk of cancer, disrupt the body’s natural hormones, and have a detrimental effect on fertility and reproductive organs. Luckily, in recent years it’s become much easier to find clean products without parabens to incorporate into your beauty routine.
Do I really need to separate my loads of laundry?
Short answer: yeah, you do. If you don’t wash new clothes that are dark or brightly colored with like colors, you may find that your whites have turned pink, etc. You should also consider fabric types — fuzzy clothes like sweatshirts or robes, and new towels can spread lint to, say, corduroys, really easily.
