Luffa gourds are native to South Asia and have been used as a cleaning tool around the world for thousands of years; known for its superior scrubbing power, this natural fiber is gentle on skin and Earth after its useful life. When tender on the vine, this gourd is edible and has a particularly silky texture, a common vegetable in many Asian cultures.

Made from carefully sourced luffa gourds and wood cellulose sponge, each Floofah is minimally processed, then cut and stitched without glue or synthetic materials. Unlike conventional plastic sponges made with mixed plastic material that shed microplastics in your sink and down the drain, Floofah scrubs naturally, so what touches your foodware and washes away is completely clean.

Just add water and watch the Floofah expand into a soft, airy sponge. Add your favorite soap (bar or liquid) and squish for a rich lather. The cellulose sponge side offers a super gentle and absorbent experience similar to a conventional sponge; the luffa side is tough enough to cut through grime yet safe on all surfaces. For tougher grease, soak dishware in hot water then use the dry luffa side for max scrubbing power.

Floofah softens with use and should be replaced every 4 weeks or as needed. Let it fully dry between uses to keep it fresh; to sanitize, run it through the dishwasher, microwave it wet for 15 seconds, or soak it in boiling water for a few seconds.

About Floofah: Born from a search for a truly natural alternative to everyday home products, Floofah brings you back to what nature does best– Simple, effective, and waste-free. Each purchase is matched with a donation to a shower-focused nonprofit to promote hygiene and skin health.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0884/6816/0824/files/FloofahLuffa_WoodKitchenSponge2pk1Front.png?v=1792710704
