Most reusable food bags can be washed in the dishwasher on a low heat setting, but it’s always a good idea to check the manufacturer’s instructions on your bags to be on the safe side. If you’re washing your reusable bags by hand, fill the sink halfway with hot water, and a few drops of natural dish soap. Submerge your bags in the water, and let them soak for five minutes. Use a non-abrasive sponge or microfiber cloth to scrub ‘em down inside and out, then rinse thoroughly and air dry. Hot tip: Don’t turn the bags inside out to dry, as this could damage the sealed edges.
